Puente de Perrault en Madrid RÃo
Está conformada por dos grandes cilindros metálicos desalineados, que casi se tocan, sobre la cima de una colina.
Cada cilindro reposa sobre dos pilas situadas en los extremos, haciendo que la pasarela parezca realmente suspendida en el aire.
La estructura principal, autoportante y realizada en acero, consiste en dos helicoides que se cruzan en diagonal, en los que una banda plateada de malla metálica se entrelaza con la estructura principal y protege a los paseantes del sol y de la intemperie.
Perrault bridge in Madrid River
It consists of two metal cylinders misaligned, they almost touch, on top of a hill. Each cylinder rests on two stacks at the ends, causing the gateway look really airborne. The main, self-supporting and made of steel, helical structure consists of two intersecting diagonal in which a silver metal mesh band intertwines with the main structure and protects pedestrians from the sun and weather.
