Cragside is a striking North East Victorian house and National Trust property with an extraordinary history, which can be found surrounded by impressive gardens in the heart of Northumberland. It is at Cragside that visitors will discover an engineers dream perched high on a rocky crag. Cragside was the home of Lord Armstrong, Victorian inventor and landscape genius and the imposing Victorian property was the first house in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity.
