2015 November 16 ~ The waxing crescent Moon, close-up

*****************************************************************************

Photographed from mid-town Toronto, Canada, at 17.55 EDT (Moon altitude: 25.2° | Sun 11.0° below the horizon)

* Temperature 8° C.

Tonight we had an unusually clear (for November) sky and steady atmosphere, so I could get a decent quality photo of the Moon, even though it was fairly low in the sky.

This image is composed of the best 10 of 14 identical exposures, stacked to increase resolution. Craters as small as 5 km in diameter can be seen across the frame.
