My Very First Application!
A random search on Google for local railroad jobs led me to the job lead pictured above, a conductor trainee job with the BNSF Railway in nearby Cicero, Illinois! I immediately jumped on the position and completed the application. Later that day, I received an email from the BNSF Staffing Team stating that I had to take a two-hour assessment test in order for my application to be processed. I took the test that very same day!
On Friday November 15th, I received an email from the BNSF Staffing Team, and the message included their response to my application. I was told that I DID NOT PASS the assessment test! I wasn't discouraged for long, because there will be many other local railroad positions for me to apply to in the weeks ahead!
