Starman- Magic Mike Mump
Time to get out further from home to explore some of the locations marked on my list of places to visit. Met up with good mate and fellow LP Junkie Phill to scout the spot in daylight, we found a great composition for a landscape shot and fired off a few frames whilst waiting for sunset which turned out like many summertime sunsets with cloud off to the west blocking any direct light. Ended up getting a nice blue hour shot and then made our way to the church as it started to get dark.
In the car park we were approached by a guy who asked if we were having a nice evening and enjoying the amazing location, adding that is a "very special" place and that he was there with The Sculptress. We explained why we were there and showed him some previous Light Painting images. He said that he would ask The Sculptress to come over as she may like to meet us. As The Sculptress floated barefoot across the gravel car park towards us, Phill and I looked at each other with raised eyebrows knowingly. The Sculptress introduced herself (excuse me for not remembering her flamboyant name) and looked at some of our LP images then told us about how she is given visions by spiritual beings in her sleep, telling her to create natural stone spirals in different landscapes, with names like Golden Spiral Earth Dragon but in Italian. She asked if we had "noticed" anything on our visits to the many locations we had been to over the years? Phill immediately said "no, fuck all" and then explained that we are open to any paranormal happenings but have not had any? With our camera gear out of the cars we locked up and said we were off and The Sculptress and the guy walked away and as he did he turned to shake our hands, he said his name was Mike and added "Magic Mike". Made it a memorable night, we definitely "noticed" something that night!
