Murals on cafe in Orgosolo, Sardinia, Italy.

Orgosolo is a sleepy town in old bandit country in Sardinia, Italy. Carrying on in an anarchic vein, its murals were started in the 1960s as a response to recession and social discontent. Some are in memory of the partisans who fought against Facism, others are about women's rights. In the middle of the day in summer the town is deserted apart from the figures in the murals and us, until the old boys start to emerge in the evening.
