Chacarita Cemetery - Buenos Aires

In 1871 mass graves had to be hastily excavated because of the great mortality caused by the yellow fever epidemic of that year. This took place far away from the limits of the city in those times. Little by little those mass graves became the "Cementerio de la Chacarita&quot. With its 95 ha. it is today one of the largest cemeteries in the world.
