tum boon

near the end of my stay i was given permission to go along on alms round with the monks. i walked behind them, obviously not able to accept any alms, but took any food that wouldn't fit into their bowls. i had to carry around a big bag for this, leaving me with only one hand to take my photos. this was one of the first people to give alms and by far the best capture of the day.

 

tum boon means "making merit."
