A Blast from the Past orginally posted as "My team mate"

Here is a picture I posted years ago, but was only seen by a few at the time. From about 10 years ago now.

 

Early in the Becky 2.0 era, still working my way up, but certainly enjoying the journey.

 

I was taking part in a charity fund raising event with a women's roller derby team. I had a great time and still have one of their official team jerseys...which unfortunately probably doesn't fit any more...but I still have the memories.

 

With the current craziness back rising again, I'll likely curtail Becky's summer plans somewhat, but I'll likely get back out again in the somewhat near term.

 

Locally we have slowly gotten to 83% of those over 12 have at least one shot now, but because of the highly contagious Delta variant, local cases are again rising as people get back out more and drop their guard. And its those crazy "anti-vaxer" who are acting as a reservoir for the damn virus to continue to maintain a grip here.

 

We could have vaccinated everyone by this time... and we would be totally past it here, but we didn't and so it will linger on and kill more people...although at least now most of that pool will contain people who had an opportunity and choose not to take it. It will however continue to affect the whole of society.

 

Stay safe, dont be a spreader and get vaccinated.

Here's a picture of one of my team mates and I at a Charity Fund raiser. I had a blast, she is as wonderful as she is beautiful.

It is these kinds of pictures that remind me what fun I have when I'm out and about as Becky.

I enjoy the rest of my life too mind you, but Becky is an amazing spice that I can only describe as amazing.

This was about two years ago, but just looking at the picture now, brings back a flood of wonderful memories.
