Oradour-sur-Glane, France
On 10th June 1944 the Nazis entered the town of Oradour-sur-Glane in France, herded the women and children into the church and then set fire to it. They then assembled and executed the menfolk, then rased the town to the ground. It now stands as a memorial to wartime atrocities.
This was once the main street.
