“I can’t believe you actually wear that thing everyday Clark.”
“This coming from the guy who wears a cape and cowl every night."
“At least I look more sensible dressed like a bat, than you do in that abomination.”
“It’s just a wig Bruce, kind of interesting that you’re the one nitpicking at it when it was you that said I needed to improve my cover.”
“Yes, but I didn’t say dress like a clown. How the heck did you manage to pass it off to the folks at the Planet?”
“I hardly get noticed at the Planet so not many people noticed the change. The only ones who noticed the change mostly known I’m Superman.”
“Lois obviously knows, but White and Olson know as well?”
“No. Jimmy doesn’t know, but Perry does. Heck it’s thanks to him noticing that I get such liberties at the Planet to disappear off at a moments notice. All I’ve got to make sure is that if I have to save the city I have a report on his desk by the end of the day.”
“Not a problem then for a man who can move faster than a speeding bullet.”
“Well, typing too fast has broken a computer or two in the past.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah. Ended up having to use my Father’s old typewriter to try and type up the story in time.”
“Really what story was that?”
“My first one.”
“The one about the train station?”
“Yeah, that’s the one. Turned out front page stories don’t have to be submitted until midnight for printing anyways.”
“So you bust your computer for nothing?”
“Seemingly yeah. Fortunately they gave me a computer to type it up on at the Planet.”
“Must have been a good article to get front page on your first story.”
“You didn’t read it during your mad campaign to study me?”
“I may have done. But that was at least six years ago Clark. A lot has changed.”
“Like Jason?”
“…..”
“Sorry Bruce. I know you don’t like to talk about it. Did you ever find the body?”
“No. It’s been six months, and I’ve still not found it.”
“Where do you think he could be?”
“I think I’ve just come to the conclusion that the body was completely destroyed in the explosion that engulfed the warehouse.”
“You managed to find DNA evidence at the wreckage?”
“No. All DNA was destroyed in the explosion. Believe me, I searched.”
“And the Joker?”
“Still in Arkham. Still under treatment.”
“Six months on, he’s still receiving treatment from when you went after him? Christ Bruce you must have really laid into him.”
“I didn’t hold back that night Clark. I let my emotions get the better of me. I nearly broke the rule that night.”
“You mean you nearly?”
“Yeah. Had his head in my hands. I almost did it. All it took was one snap.”
“Christ. What would you have done had you actually gone through with it?”
“I dread to think Clark. I dread to think. All know is that I don’t think I could have gone back from it. What’s up?”
Clark Kent stood up from his seat to look outside the window he had entered Bruce’s office from in the first place. He had a confused look on his face as he seemed to be scanning the skies for something.
“What’s wrong Clark? What do you hear?”
“Something unusual. Something different.”
“What is it?”
Clark continues to scan the skyline sharply moving his head from side to side to try and spot the object causing the noise he’s picking up. Suddenly Clark’s head comes to a stop as he spots the object in the sky.
“It’s a missile.”
“A missile? Where’s it going?”
“It’s going straight up, up into the atmosphere.”
“Why the hell is there a missile heading up into the atmosphere?”
“I’m not sure Bruce. But I intend to find out.”

Hey guys! So I'm sure that this came as a shock to most of you. Chris and I decided a while back that to make a good Justice League story took two minds rather than one, so we came to the conclusion that I would upload the main issues while he will write them, as well as upload tie-in issues.
Basically, I'll be uploading every issue that Chris has made (besides tie-in stuff) in my format here on my account, while Chris finishes up writing the first volume and then on to the second.
Also, you may have realized that this issue previously was issue 3 when Chris did the series on his own. We decided that it acted as a better first issue than the one used previously, and that Chris's original issue 2 was more of a tie-in issue than anything else. So yeah, please read again if you already did, just to refresh your memory, and if you haven't read before, I hope you enjoy! -Michael
