late-morning luck

Young Desert Bighorn Sheep ram in the Superstitions retreating from what we believe was a party at a temporary watering hole.

 

The day before, a somewhat productive storm rolled through the area and left behind small pools of water in the washes. Our guess was this guy was at the tail end of the herd before he disappeared over the ridge.

 

Looking forward to finding some more of these majestic mammals -- on purpose -- once it cools down.
