Saguaro Moon

After golden hour colors fade to blue, it's time to get creative with an old Saguaro and the moon peaking through its window.

The tripod setup was fantastically complicated as I still overthink getting low to shoot crouched and upwards. Without fail, the spot to frame the shot had a Creosote Bush in the way so the pod legs wouldn't stand flat and were tough to reposition every time the moon moved. After 10+ tries, I think I secured the 2-frame masterpiece. A sharp Saguaro and a blurred moon. Sharp moon and blurred Saguaro. In photoshop, I aligned the images with sharp Saguaro on top, then masked in the sharp moon with an easy blend for the final blow. TKO. I won the imaginary prize of working hard for a mediocre picture.

Side note - the depth of field doesn't make sense, but that's the beauty of digital art - It doesn't make sense when executed poorly.
