The Masai giraffe (Giraffa tippelskirchi), is a species or subspecies of giraffe and the tallest species of currently living land mammals. It is native to central and southern Kenya and Tanzania. It has distinctive jagged, irregular leaf-like blotches that extend from the hooves to its head. Each giraffe has a unique pattern of its blotches. They have six-foot-long necks enable them to eat leaves, flowers, and twigs that most animals cannot reach. The masai giraffes growing up to 5.5 meters (18 feet) in height and their lifespan is about 25 years. In 2019, the Masai giraffe was officially classified as Endangered by the IUCN Red-List of Threatened Species. Primary threats in the wild include habitat loss and illegal hunting.

Żyrafa masajska, żyrafa kenijska (Giraffa tippelskirchi) – gatunek parzystokopytnego ssaka z rodziny żyrafowatych (Giraffidae) oraz najwyższy gatunek z obecnie żyjących ssaków lądowych. Zamieszkuje sawanny południowej Kenii oraz Tanzanii. Wyróżnia się od innych podgatunków żyraf nieregularnymi plamami na całym ciele i każda żyrafa ma swój niepowtarzalny wzór. Mają szyje długości ok. 1,8 m, dzięki którym mogą jeść liście, kwiaty i gałązki drzew, do których większość zwierząt nie może dosięgnąć. Żyrafy masajskie dorastają do 5,5 metra wysokości, a ich długość życia wynosi około 25 lat. W 2019 roku żyrafa masajska została sklasyfikowana jako zagrożona na Czerwonej Liście Gatunków Zagrożonych. Do głównych zagrożeń występujących na wolności zalicza się utratę siedlisk i nielegalne polowania.
