La Orotava is a town and a municipality in the northern part of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands of Spain. The historic center of La Orotava was declared Conjunto histórico in 1976 and is included in the Inventory of the European Cultural Heritage Protection and Monumental. La Orotava is an old town distinguished by its architecture and traditional Canarian atmosphere. The lush valley surrounding the town has been one of the island’s most prosperous areas since the 16th century. Most churches and manor houses here were built in the 17th century (with some dating back to the 16th century). In the old part of La Orotava you can see the church Nuestra Senora de la Concepción - the origins of this magnificent church date from 1516, however it was destroyed by the earthquakes of 1704 and 1705 and rebuilt in 1768. Today it is recognised as being one of the finest examples of baroque architecture in the entire archipelago with its three-fronted facade and three 24-metre-high bell towers.

La Orotava to jedna z najstarszych miejscowości na Teneryfie, położona na północy wyspy w żyznej dolinie Orotava". Jest idealnym przykładem doskonale zachowanego kolonialnego miasta charakteryzującego się stromymi, brukowanymi uliczkami oraz pięknymi zabytkami. Na szczególną uwagę zadługuje zachodnia, historyczna część, gdzie zachowały się rezydencje wybudowane przez kolonistów w XVII i XVIII wieku. Niektóre z nich można podziwiać również od wewnątrz, gdyż zaadoptowano je na muzea, hotele czy też restauracje. Ciekawym zabytkiem La orotavy jest też Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Concepción - uważany za najpiękniejszy kościół na całym archipelagu Wysp Kanaryjskich. Świątynia została zbudowana w XVIII wieku. Jest doskonałym przykładem zachowanego barokowego stylu.
