La Hijuela del Botánico - the botanical garden in La Orotava. This small, sweet botanical garden centred around a magnificent drago tree was created as a branch of the larger Jardín Botánico in Puerto de la Cruz. It is home to around 3000 different tropical and subtropical plant species mainly of South and Central American, African and Australian origin, as well as plenty of birds, butterflies and strategically located benches.

Hijuela del Botanico - przepiękny ogród botaniczny, który założono w 1923 roku. Położony jest w samym sercu La Orotavy, za ratuszem. Jest niewielki, gdyż zajmuje ok. 0,4 ha, natomiast znajduje się tutaj ponad 3 tys. różnych gatunków tropikalnych i podzwrotnikowych roślin. To miejsce jest starannie wypielęgnowane a znakiem rozpoznawczym są wygrzewające się na murach jaszczurki. Hijuela del Botanico jest oddziałem większego ogrodu z Puerto de la Cruz.
