Taken inside the building of an old primary school in the skansen in Maurzyce (Poland).
An open-air ethnographic museum in Maurzyce is situated approximately 7 km from Łowicz. In the late seventies it started to collect architectural monuments from the terrain of the former Duchy of Łowicz. It was opened to the public in the middle of the eighties. Currently there are over 40 items in the open-air ethnographic museum. Their arrangement depicts two historical types of spatial planning of Łowicz village: the so-called old village – an oval village with a central village square, appearing from the middle of the XIXth century and a new village, well known in the second half of the XXth century.
In the "Old Village" there are farm, livestock and storage buildings presented in the farms together with their equipment. The buildings, moved to the terrain of the skansen, date from the second half of the XIXth century and the first half of the XXth century.
Five farmsteads and three detached residential buildings stand in the “New Village”. A country school and a teacher’s flat from the interwar period were established in one of the buildings – a XIXth century cottage from Złaków Borowy.
There is also wooden church, dated from 1758, moving from Wysokienice in years 2006-2011. In 2008 the temple’s roof was shingled and work on reconstructing its interior (floor, ceiling) was finished. Also interior of the church was renovating.

Skansen w Maurzycach - położony w odległości ok. 7 km od Łowicza. Od końca l. 70. gromadzi zabytki architektury z terenu dawnego Księstwa Łowickiego. Udostępniony do zwiedzania w połowie lat 80. Obecnie w skansenie znajduje się blisko 40 obiektów, które zlokalizowane są według planu zakładającego ukazanie dwóch układów przestrzennych: tzw. starej wsi występującej do poł. XIX w., o kształcie zbliżonym do owalnicy z centralnym placem wioskowym oraz nowej wsi - ulicówki, powszechnej w II poł. XIX w.
W obrębie starej wsi znajdują się trzy gospodarstwa: zagroda zamknięta - tzw. okólnik, typowy dla wsi łowickiej od poł. XIX w., chałupa z poł. XIX w., przeniesiona ze wsi Skowroda oraz zagroda otwarta. "Nową wieś" reprezentuje 5 gospodarstw i 3 wolnostojące budynki mieszkalne. Pierwszy budynek od strony wejścia do skansenu to XIX-wieczna, szerokofrontowa chałupa ze wsi Złaków Borowy. Urządzono w niej szkołę wiejską i mieszkanie nauczycielki z okresu międzywojennego.
W 2005 r. rozpoczęły się prace nad przeniesieniem zespołu sakralnego z 2 poł. XVIII w. z Wysokienic. W latach 2006 - 2011 dokonano translokacji drewnianej świątyni datowanej na 1758 r. oraz dzwonnicy z 1774 r., renowacji poddano wyposażenie kościoła oraz ściany i malowidła na sklepieniu.
