This is a moment taken sometime after a hellish weekend of filming.
We all lived in Portland and drove up to a coastal town in Washington to film in the middle of the woods. After waking up around six in the morning, we get to work on the film... fighting the cold, rain, sleet, hail, snow, and wind. We wrap up around three AM after a day's worth of good progress and determination to get through all the equipment failures. The next day, we sleep in and head home.
...Only to realize that somehow, someway... 75% of the footage was corrupt and ultimately lost. To add insult to the injury, we realized we forgot a piece of equipment back in Washington. The next day, the director and I drove back up in defeat and exhaust.
This was taken after crossing the bridge from Astoria into Washington. The sun was setting and delivering to us some beautiful scenery. At least we could still find somethin' to smile about.
