Locomotives identified are 56018 foreground and 40007 to the right.
The were probably fifty locomotives stabled around the depot . Mostly class 20's.
A jaw dropping sight and this remains the most locomotives I have seen on any depot ever. This was a Sunday so more likely the depot would have more locos on depot than any other day of the week.
Forty years on virtually all of the coal work most of these locomotives would have been allocated to haul has gone...
