Semperoper, Dresden

The Semperoper in Dresden was originally built 1870-1878 by Gottfried and Manfred Semper. It was one of the prime examples of classicist architecture of the later 19th century.

 

Destroyed by Allied bombing in February, 1945, it was rebuilt according to original plans.
