Introduced by Germany in 1918 as a ground-attack plane, it also showed potential as fighter.

 

Powered by a Mercedes D-3, 160 HP 6-cylinder in line engine, it had a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h), and a range of 300 miles (480 km).
