Nightscape Panorama at Aroudillas Beach, Corfu The panorama above shows a natural cove on the coast of Arcoudillas at Asprokavos Cape, near Corfu, Greece. This nightscape was taken in full moonlight. The curvy parallel bands at left center are pebble-to-small-boulder size rocks deposited along with clay sediments (foreground) some 1-2 million years ago. Note the Milky Way at the right center of the panorama. At upper left a portion of Ursa Major can be seen. Bluish-white Vega, the brightest star in the constellation Lyra and the fifth brightest star in the night sky, is found at center, just above the Milky Way
