Home, sweet home...
Since I live in Fremont, I decided to scout some new locations for the wonderful sunrises we have had this week. I found this spot and have been shooting there a few times. This morning when I got outside I saw a beautiful cloud formation approaching from the northwest. Problem was, it was not where I wanted to be - close to the Mission Peak hills. I decided to go there anyway and give it a shot. I am glad I did - photography is all about waiting for the right conditions. As I set up, the clouds moved in closer to the hills and now I could get them into the frame I envisioned.
For my first trip there on a freezing morning, which created totally different brilliant gold lighting conditions check out this image from 500px.com: 500px.com/photo/3999230
