29th of August 1964 again, this time the location is Hatherleigh and think Ivatt 2MT Tank 41223 is on a One Coach service probably from Torrington (Dad's notes are a bit confusing as at some point during the day something happened at Hole and 4 passengers arrived in a taxi!).
The loco was new in October 1948 and got around a bit. It featured Wrexham Rhosddu, Monument Lane, Ryecroft and Brighton amongst its allocations before heading west to Barnstaple. It had moved to Exmouth Junction by this time and was withdrawn from Templecombe in March 1966.
