FMCCS350 40196 Llandudno Junction

Llandudno Junction on the 12th of June 1983.

Class 40 40196 is running into the yard with the Rio Tinto empties from the Valley.

The loco was new to Gateshead in July 1962 and I have a feeling it may have been an Eastern Loco all of its life and may have been Healey Mills based at this time. That said I lost track of what happened to some of the 40's in their last few years of operation so it could have been a Midland loco at this time. It was withdrawn in May 1984 and cut up at Doncaster the following year.
