LOW LIGHT 20

20054 arrives at York with a long train of box vans no date

The loco appears to have been very recently outshopped in the rail blue livery. This should allow an approximate dating of the photo. Does anyone have any details on when repainted but assume around 1973

Originally D8054 entered traffic on 12-6-61 and delivered new to Sheffield Darnall. Withdrawn on 11-9-89. Cut up at MC Metals (Springburn) by 14-10-91

Are these bound for Rowntree Factory? These appear to be Vanfit or Vanwide wagons. Thanks to The Crafty Cockney for the comments.

York has changed a bit since this photo was taken!

FILM Ferrania s.r.l. is a modern photographic film manufacturing company located in Ferrania (Liguria), Italy. FILM Ferrania had been founded in 1923 as a maker of photographic film, papers, and photographic equipment, including cameras. The company was purchased in 1964 by the 3M company to become Ferrania 3M.

This is a slide in original frame which says Ferrania 3G Germany. The depth of image is poor but it does appear that this is quite a decent image taken in low light. Original photographer not known but I have rights as per usual as owner of the original. This is part of the Tom Derrington Collection
