Another pair of Rats this time in the rain at Sutton Bridge Junction at Shrewsbury

25296 & 25307 depart SBJ for the Cambrian on a wet day circa June 1982

 

Can someone out there help me with a date for this working?

 

D7646, 7646, 25296, 25906

As 25906 it was withdrawn on November 1st 1986.

 

After withdrawal 25906 was stored at Basford Hall Yard until moved with 25199, 25244 & 25249 on June 2nd 1987 to Leicester Humberstone Road Yard and into Vic Berry's Yard the next day. By the middle of December 1987 25906 had been broken up.

 

D7657, 7657, 25307, 25908

As 25908 was the 300th Class 25 withdrawn, the only Class 25 retired during November 1986.

 

After withdrawal 25908 was stored at Springs Branch and taken into Departmental service under number ADB968026 based at Toton. It moved from Springs Branch to Crewe on April 4th 1987, then to Bescot the next day and to Toton on April 4th 1987. It appears the locomotive was never renumbered and saw no use whilst at Toton. 25908 moved to Vic Berry on July 5th 1988, by the end of January 1989 it had been broken up.
