GLORY DAYS AT CHESTER

Brush Type4 Class47 D1850 [I think] and EE Class40 D242 [later 40042] depart Chester General passing Chester No2 Signal Box in March 1967 very much at the end of steam

If you look carefully you will see two class08 shunters just part of the everyday scene.

This transparency is part of a small collection I have of other people's work and is therefore labelled as part of the TOM DERRINGTON COLLECTION

This was given to me in 1976 by a work colleague called Bill Potter [not the famous one!] He was a specialist social worker for the deaf and worked with me at Wilmslow in Cheshire. He was interested in railways but was not a prolific photographer and this and a 9F were the only shots of his I saw of trains in Chester. If Bill is still alive greetings! Whatever the case this is my tribute.

Please do not use this illegally any copyright issues to be addressed to myself
