The USS Drum (SS 228) is a United States Navy Gato-class submarine. She was commissioned in November 1941, decommissioned in February 1946 and sank 15 ships during World War II. With no postwar service, she was not modernized and retains her wartime appearance.
At Battleship Memorial Park, near Mobile, Alabama, I visited the Battleship Alabama (BB 60), a South Dakota-class battleship, now a museum ship. The park includes many other historical exhibits.
