The Austrian helmet was almost identical to the German one. In 1919, a nurse in Italy obtained this example, stuck stamps and a label on it, and mailed it to a residence in Austin. It arrived there and, eventually, ended here.
At the Camp Mabry Military Museum, Austin, Texas, on October 6, 2018. There were special exhibits related to the 100-year anniversary of the end of the First World War.
