Prayer Mound Detail
The Bosque Redondo Memorial commemorates the four years (1864-1868) of Navajo captivity here. The Navajo returned long ago to their ancestral land, but many have come to visit over the years. They have brought rocks and objects from their homes to create this prayer mound, including a US Purple Heart decoration.
