Pops Staples ~ "Father Father" featuring Mavis Staples
Pops Staples was leader of his family band, The Staple Singers
They were called upon by Martin Luther King Jr to be a featured band for his Civil Rights crusades. The Staple Singers were also a very successful Soul/Pop group and had quite a few chart topping songs. Mavis Staples is still recording and performing live. She remains in high demand for her voice to grace the work of others in their studio sessions.
