Bird Feeder of Shame: squirrel damages
and, yes, there is a backstory here on how this came to be ... originally, we bought one dome to stave off the hungry squirrels .. they ate the edges of that one, swung down acrobatically into the feeder and continued to eat the bird's food .. then we added a second dome .. they chewed the edges .. but then it struck us!! We would spray the dome with a slick coating and the squirrels would fall off! It worked!
Pam spray or something oily makes it difficult to get a grip on the dome ....
