Derwent Dam
Located near the Hope Valley in Derbyshire, construction of this impressive neo-gothic masonry dam was started in 1904 and completed in 1914 when the reservoir began to fill with water from the River Derwent. It now forms part of 3 reservoirs, Ladybower below, and Howden above. The dam was famously used to practice with the bouncing bomb by the Dam Busters during WWII to practice for their daring mission in Germany.
