Old Orhei Panoramic

Exploring the Moldovan countryside, from a vantage point high on a hill we look down into a spectacular horseshoe valley near Old Orhei, carved by the Raut River. Perched on the central 'island' is the Church of St Maria, an Orthodox church built on the limestone outcrop, while the bell tower of the cave hermitage of Bosie can be seen to its right.
