Numerous ramps lead to the terraces where sanctuaries have been erected, allowing processions to reach the temples. It is interesting that the wall alongside the ramp has been built at an angle - a completely different method of construction from what we are used to. Using ramps to move between levels, rather than stairs, is peculiar to this area.
