Pyramids 21 and 22, Northern Group, Meroë, Sudan, North-east Africa

Pyramid 21 (Teriteqas: 116-99 BCE) on the left, and pyramid 22 (Natakamani: 0-25 CE). On several monuments Natakamani appears together with co-regent Queen Amanitore. The relationship between the two is not clear: she might have been his wife, or his mother, who served as his regent while he was still young.
