Antechamber, Tomb of Tanwetamani, El-Kurru, Sudan, North-east Africa

Inside, the paintings follow Egyptian decoration schemes with a starred ceiling, depictions of Isis and Nephtys, and the sons of Horus. The hieroglyphs are Egyptian. The antechamber is very slightly vaulted, spangled with 5-pointed yellow stars on what was originally a dark-blue sky background (now white). (Hand-held camera, by torchlight)
