He comes from a humble background with little academic education. To make a living, he started with odd jobs like selling milk and newspapers. Later, he got a job as a design tracer in a textile unit.
Further, he did hand painting on ceramic tiles and then drawing figures of Ganeshas on wedding cards. He feels his immense faith in God has seen him through hard times and he continues to paint Ganeshas from time to time. His Ganeshas are truly vibrant, colorful and 'happy'.
Another subject that is close to his heart is the 'Mood' series - it depicts couples in moments of togetherness and bliss.
