Forgiveness

I accidentally backed into Barney (not realizing he was behind me) and slightly kicked him. Although he didn't cry out, I felt horrible and picked him up to tell him I was sorry. He gently licked my face, wagging his little tail the whole time and all was forgiven, all was forgotten.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we humans could be so gracious?
