Injustice League: Genesis Episode 2— Unsuccessful Hunt
Jean observed the faceless man from his perch above the street. He prepared to strike when suddenly, he found himself on the opposite side of Hub City.
"What the Hell?" he said.
"Jean-Paul Valley," said a warped and distorted voice, "I know that you murdered Irons."
"What are you talking about?" he asked, looking around for the source of the voice. Then, he saw it. For a brief moment, he saw a yellow streak, and inside it was a man in a yellow suit.
"Don't try to pretend. You are the only other person on Earth who uses a weapon identical to that of the Dark Knight."
"I know who you are," Valley said to the streak,"and that means I know you're not working with the police."
The streak stopped moving. "How do you know whether or not I'm working for them?" the man asked.
"Because I know about you, Thawne, I know you're rival is a member of the CCPD, and I know that you would never put yourself in any situation that would make you even remotely similar to him."
"Then I presume you know why I came to you?"
"No, actually, I don't."
"I came to you for your assistance."
"Why would you need me? You're the fastest man alive."
"The task I need you for doesn't require speed," Thawne told him,"but it does require someone with adequate knowledge of the Batman's lair."
"What's in this for me?"
"I can clear you for Tim Drake's murder. I have a connection in the GCPD."
"I'm interested," replied Valley.
"Just one thing I need to ask you," Thawne said,"if you didn't murder Irons, why were you attacking Question?"
"He has information about my father. I need to know what happened to him, and what his connection to Dumas is."
"I see," Thawne said,"we should get going. My appearance hasn't gone unnoticed."
He was right. The HCPD was closing in on them.
"Where are we going?"
Thawne smiled and said,"You'll see."
Sorry it took so long to put up the second episode. I'll try to post these more frequently from now on.
