Head of the falls
The waterfall at 3 Shires head in the Peak District.
I decided to burn off the Christmas calories with a walk from Wildboar Clough to the waterfall where the borders of Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire meet. There are 2 pack horse bridges here and a couple of quite impressive little waterfalls. From what I've read this place is usually heaving but, with the exception of 2 guys on classic off road trails bikes, I had the place to myself.
I have to say it was bitterly cold and the band of cloud that storm Conor was pulling behind it soon cleared, but nevertheless it was well worth the walk.
