Baby Red Squirrels Emerge

I had seen Red Squirrels emerge for the first time from their nest a handful of time in my old neighborhood, and this looked like it again. Four or five youngsters were on my property together. These two looked like siblings despite the big size difference.

 

Mom was very smart. The nest was in this empty Marten Stand. All the babies could have their own room when they left the birth room.
