Freezing smoke

This was one of those couple of mornings this winter when we got the really cold weather, -20ºC in Helsinki, and when there was the rare chance to see the "sea smoke" that happens when open water in sea is warmer than the freezing cold air, and when the sea starts to "steam".

Especially spectacular this view is at sunrise time. And if one is lucky enough to come next to decorative ice-covered rocks, then the scenery gets absolutely stunning. So stunning that one can forget about its freezing fingers and toes, and nose that gets numb during about hour in this cold... An hour when one just walks around like enchanted looking at this beauty until finally starting to realize that staying longer one could turn itself into one of those iced rocks. I realized it just before this moment, but it still was possible to walk to the bus stop about 1 km away, crawl in the bus and slowly start to melt...

So luckily I am back here and can post this photo for you. :-)
