Laddered chimney
This chimney at Clarks village in Somerset has been laddered in the 'traditional' way. The Fred Dibnah way! Spacers on each ladder section with rope tied into a dog driven into the brickwork joints. Now I'd never question a steeple jack - they know better than anyone. I just assumed that this method was now outlawed by the HSE as the rope carries no test certificate for holding the ladders. Can anyone enlighten me?
