Tree treasure

 

I have been taking photos of the lichen on the tree next door from a distance for many years so when branches were blown down by the wind this week, I relished the idea of getting some macro shots of its amazing structure.

 

I took this one with the Olympus E-M1's new in-camera focus bracketing feature and am pretty impressed since it's hard to get it all in focus when the branch is curved but it turned out quite well.
