Memories
This year has been one of the toughest, emotionally. In February my husband had a heart attack, which thankfully, he recovered from. Then in June my dad passed away from cancer. I’ll never know if he could have been saved if the pandemic hadn’t hit and all treatment stopped.
Before he died dad gave me some giant sunflower seeds, his favourite flower. They flowered in September and these two remind me of mum (who passed 11 years ago) and dad, together again.
Their bright sunny faces brought me some comfort and this photo makes me smile when I’m feeling sad. I’ve saved the seeds from them and will plant again next year.
