These clouds are probably - Altocumulus lenticularis (Ac len) formed by a layer of moist air uplifted over the hills.
Altocumulus (Ac)
A compound of the Latin words altum, meaning 'height', and cumulus ('heap' or 'pile'), altocumulus are medium-level clouds, occurring as individual rounded masses, often with clear sky visible between them.
Lenticularis (len)
From the Latin lenticula (meaning 'little lens' or 'lentil'), clouds of the species lenticularis are almond or lens-shaped wave clouds, often formed by the movement of moisture-laden air over a high hill or mountain slope.
