Moon set at Woomera

G'day everyone. I just spent a wonderful week away camping, four wheel driving and photographing on the beautiful Eyre Peninsula here in South Australia. It was the 1st time I had ever been over there and I and my family had a wonderful time!

Over the next couple of weeks I plan on sharing a few of the more 'artistic images' I captured along the way, balancing being a tourist and photographer was quite a challenge but I made sure I got some time out to capture the amazing and changing landscape we came across.

First up I am starting with a shot taken at 5:54am on the morning of the 28th of September just across the road from the caravan park where we had our first night. It's the full moon setting over the dry and dusty Woomera landscape. Easy to see why this place was chosen by the RAAF as a testing ground for missiles and rockets during and beyond the cold war.
