On November 1, 2017, a band of courageous and thoughtful citizens stepped up to let the Allegheny County Board of Health know that "better than it used to be is no longer good enough!" and that we citizens will no longer tolerate the absurdly frequent violations (recently over 6,700 during 3.5 years) by U.S. Steel of our clean air regulations. Thanks to PennFuture for anchoring the effort with their #ToxicNeighbor campaign. We need more people to join this early crew if we seek any reasonable chance of improving our air. You can learn more about the campaign and how to get involved here: pennfuture.org/News-PennFuture-Launches-Toxic-Neighbor-Ci... .
